Power-flushing Terms

We will carry out powerflushing of the heating circuits identified in our written quotation using our Proflush equipment and suitable cleaning chemicals. Unless otherwise stated, the service includes flushing and rinsing the agreed circuits, adding corrosion inhibitor at the appropriate dosage, venting and checking system operation.

The quotation will identify the radiators and circuits included, any exclusions, and the total price, including VAT where applicable. Underfloor heating circuits are included only where expressly stated.

Before starting, we will assess the accessible system for suitability and discuss any apparent concerns. This inspection cannot identify every hidden defect, particularly within concealed pipework or internally corroded components.

Please tell us about any known leaks, pressure loss, previous repairs, leak-sealing products, circulation problems or boiler faults.

If the system appears unsuitable for powerflushing, we will explain the reasons and agree an alternative before proceeding.

Cleaning can reveal existing weaknesses where corrosion deposits or sludge have been concealing a leak. Deteriorated radiators, valves, joints, pipework or other components may then require repair or replacement.

Repair of pre-existing deterioration is not included unless stated in the quotation. Where a leak or failure results solely from a pre-existing defect, rather than our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill, the cost of repairing that defect is the customer’s responsibility.

This clause does not exclude our responsibility for damage caused by our negligence or failure to carry out the work properly.

Powerflushing is intended to remove circulating and removable contamination and improve circulation. Results depend on the system’s condition, design and accessibility.

It cannot repair defective components, reverse corrosion, correct poor system design or guarantee clearance of completely blocked pipework. Some radiators, heat exchangers or restricted sections may require separate cleaning or replacement.

We do not promise a particular reduction in energy bills or restoration of every radiator to full performance unless expressly agreed in writing. This does not reduce our obligation to perform the agreed service with reasonable care and skill.

Unless included in the quotation, the price excludes replacement parts, leak repairs, boiler repairs, radiator removal, cutting out blocked pipework, lifting floors and making good decorations.

We will explain any additional work and obtain your agreement to its price before proceeding. If you decline, we will explain any resulting limitations and whether the system can safely be returned to use.

If continuing would risk damage or unsafe operation, we will stop, take reasonable steps to leave the system safe and discuss the options.

The full quoted price will not automatically become payable for an incomplete flush. Any payment will reflect work properly completed and agreed costs reasonably incurred, subject to your statutory rights.

Please provide safe access to the boiler, radiators, relevant valves, water and electricity supplies, and an appropriate drainage point. Please move fragile items and personal belongings from the working area.

We will take reasonable precautions to protect the property. Heating and hot water may be unavailable during the work; any particular requirements should be discussed beforehand.

On completion, we will explain the work performed, any remaining faults or restrictions, and any recommended repairs. We will record the inhibitor used and relevant checks undertaken.

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion and receipt of the invoice. Deposits and any staged payments must be stated in the quotation. Your statutory rights concerning defective or incomplete work remain unaffected.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies to a booking made remotely or at your home, you normally have 14 days after the day the contract is made to cancel. We will provide the applicable cancellation information and form before you commit.

If you want work to start within that period, we will obtain your express request. If you subsequently cancel before completion, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for work supplied, where the legal requirements have been met.

You lose that cancellation right once the service has been fully performed only if you expressly requested early commencement and acknowledged this consequence beforehand.

Outside any statutory cancellation right, any cancellation charge will be limited to reasonable actual net losses arising from the cancellation, taking account of costs saved and replacement work obtained.

Please report any concerns promptly using the contact details on your quotation so we can investigate and, where appropriate, put matters right.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
